Treat yourself or a loved one to a luxurious calming herbal tea bath. It is such a lovely way to wind down at the end of the day or even a calming way to start a lazy day. I am a bath lover, especially during pregnancy. This third time around, I really enjoy longer and more therapeutic baths. Maybe that’s because I try to make that my time to be alone and focus some attention on the new little life in my belly.

There are many different flowers and herbs to choose from that can soothe the body and mind. Some of my favorites are lavender, calendula, chamomile, cornflower, and roses. Pick one or two, or even all, depending on your mood. I like to accompany these beautiful scents with lavender essential oil, rose essential oil, or even lemon essential oil.

Ingredients

  • 3-5 drops of lavender essential oil
  • 3 tablespoons of epsom salts
  • 1 tablespoon of dried flowers or herbs
  • muslin sachet or actual tea bag

â—¦ small mixing bowl

Directions

Drop essential oils into the bowl of epsom salts and stir well. Then spoon into a muslin sachet or tea bag, and top with flowers/herbs. Tie the bag closed, then drop into a warm bath and soak. You may also sprinkle the mixture into the bath if you don’t mind a bit of clean up. It makes for a beautiful bath for you or even a gift for a friend or loved one!
