Emily Heyne

Emily Heyne

I’m Emily Heyne, PhD, mother of three and wife to my husband, Nick. Shortly after graduating from Presbyterian College, I was received into the Catholic Church, thanks to the influence of dear Catholic friends, and I came to the University of Dallas to pursue a PhD in Literature. More recently, I was named a Wollstonecraft Fellow for my work co-editing a book on literature as it relates to motherhood. While I have held various part-time jobs—from rock climbing instructor and basketball official to adjunct English professor and curriculum consultant at the Theology of the Body Evangelization Team—I am most grateful for my vocation as a mother. I appreciate the ministry of Mighty Is Her Call in its support of motherhood and for providing me with the opportunity to reflect upon how I see the face of God in my own children and in my domestic church.
